Our Story
Needle Hunters is a social enterprise dedicated to creating safer and healthier communities in Ottawa. Since its inception, Needle Hunters has worked to address the critical issue of improperly discarded needles, pipes, condoms, and paraphernalia in public spaces. By providing daily cleanup services in priority neighbourhoods, Needle Hunters ensures that parks, streets, and community areas remain safe and welcoming for everyone.

Beyond its environmental and safety impact, Needle Hunters is deeply committed to social change. We provide meaningful employment opportunities for individuals facing barriers to the workforce, offering them the chance to develop skills, build confidence, and contribute positively to their community.

In addition to our cleanup efforts, Needle Hunters actively raises awareness about harm reduction and proper disposal practices, fostering a culture of safety and shared responsibility. Collaborating with local organizations, community members, and public health partners, we aim to make Ottawa a model for inclusive, proactive approaches to public health and community well-being.

Together, we’re making a difference—one street, one park, and one community at a time.
Safer Communities.
Brighter Futures.
